UFC 97 weigh-in: Silva sends a message by nearly pushing Leites off the stage

Anderson Silva means business. His fitness seems to be top notch. He was way under the middleweight limit of 185 pounds at 182. Just as he did during the stare down after the UFC 97 press conference, Silva got right in Thales Leites' face. This time he nearly pushed him off the stage. Leites backed up then just stared and smiled.

Chuck Liddell sported his traditional beer belly six pack. Mauricio Rua also looked to be in better shape than he was for his first two UFC fights. Liddell is a huge fan favorite but it was still odd to hear a guy like Rua, a huge star in Pride, booed so lustily.

The only fighter to miss weight was David Bielkheden at 157. For some reason, he chose not to remove his shorts and was given time to cut to 156.
