Tito Ortiz gets the nod as worst MMA commentator
Cage Potato does a brilliant job chronicling the 10 worst moments in mixed martial arts commentating. The freshest material got the nod. Tito Ortiz’s work during the Affliction 2 show in January rubbed CP the wrong way (1:00 mark). This is absolutely laugh out loud material!
We’re huge fans of Mauro Ranallo and Gus Johnson but CP was all over the duo. Gus was tabbed for the conniption he had during Seth Petruzelli’s win over Kimbo Slice. There’s plenty of Ranallo material to run with but I’m not sure I agree with CP’s choice here, when he talked about a 25 cm pole:
Ranallo: "At the press conference…Evinger said ‘I’d rather make out with Gina Carano, but instead I’m going to have to knock her out’."
Goldberg: "And I’m not going to touch that one with a 25-foot pole, Mauro."
Ranallo: "I’d like to touch it with a 25-centimeter one, but instead we’ll just call the fight."
It’s sexist and the Boogie Nights wannabe is probably lying, but it is funny. Frank Trigg and Mike Goldberg were amongst the other stars who got blasted.
