Robbie Lawler likes winning better than belts

"Belts don't matter to me. I don't know how long it's been since he last fought, but he should have to fight it, defend it, at least every year. But I'm not going to push to have an interim belt that doesn't really mean anything. It's not the belt that means something to me. I just like to win."
- Robbie Lawler, reacting to the news that Strikeforce will soon award an interim belt at middleweight. He is set to fight Jake Shields on Saturday as a headliner at Strikeforce: Lawler vs. Shields. Lawler has four more fights left on his contract with Strikeforce.
