Randleman vs Whitehead Set for Strikeforce
Strikeforce officially confirmed yesterday that Kevin Randleman will make his Strikeforce debut against Mike Whitehead on the June 6 “Lawler vs. Shields” fight card.
Randleman just signed with Strikeforce last month, and is looking to get back into consistent action as he only has had one fight in the past three years.
“The Monster” has battled serious liver issues, a near-fatal staph infection, and a 12-month suspension by the NSAC since 2006.
Mike Whitehead will also be making his Strikeforce debut after fighting with several different promotions since the collapse of the International Fight League.
The June 6 event is scheduled to be headlined by a catch-weight matchup between two former EliteXC champions, Robbie Lawler and Jake Shields. Also confirmed for the event are Nick Diaz vs. Scott Smith and Joe Riggs vs. Phil Baroni.
