Countdown to UFC 96 Rating
MMAPayout.com has learned that the premiere of Countdown to UFC 96 on Spike drew 703,000 viewers. Anything over the 700k mark has to be looked at as a very good rating historically. The main draw for the Countdown was Rampage Jackson and his showdown with Keith Jardine. Using the rating as a general gauge of mainstream interest in the show, Rampage’s inclusion looks to be raising the profile of an otherwise negligible card. The number is also significantly higher than the average Countdown viewer total for the past year of around 600,000 viewers.
